API Terms of Use
Effective date: June 5, 2026 · Link‑Lite Data LLC
These API Terms apply to programmatic access to Link Website Pro via API keys, available on the Agency plan. They supplement our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. See the API Documentation for technical details.
1. Eligibility & keys
- API access requires an active Agency subscription.
- API keys are secrets. You are responsible for keeping them confidential and for all activity performed with your keys.
- Keys are shown once at creation and stored by us only as a hash. Rotate or revoke keys at any time from your account.
- If a key is exposed or compromised, revoke it immediately and notify support@linklitepro.com.
2. Rate limits & fair use
API usage is subject to rate limits and fair‑use controls to protect the Service and the websites being scanned. We may throttle, queue, or temporarily block requests that exceed limits or threaten stability. Current limits are published in the API Documentation and may change with reasonable notice. Do not attempt to circumvent limits (e.g., by rotating keys or accounts).
3. Authorization to scan
Every target you submit through the API is subject to the
authorization requirement in our
Acceptable Use Policy: you may only scan domains you own or are explicitly authorized to test. You are fully responsible for the targets your integration submits.
4. Resale & redistribution restrictions
- You may use the API to power your own agency workflows and to deliver reports to your clients about their own websites.
- You may not resell, resell access to, sublicense, or expose the raw API as a standalone product or competing scanning service without a separate written agreement with us.
- You may not use the API to build a competing dataset or product, or to scrape the Service itself.
- Caching of results for your own operational use is permitted; large‑scale redistribution of raw results is not.
5. Abuse & enforcement
If an API key is used for prohibited activity (unauthorized scanning, DoS, abuse of rate limits, resale in violation of these Terms, or any breach of the AUP), we may revoke the key, suspend API access, and/or terminate the account without notice. Repeated or severe abuse may result in permanent loss of API access.
6. Changes & deprecation
We may update, version, or deprecate API endpoints. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of breaking changes. The API is provided without warranty as described in our Terms of Service.
