Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: June 5, 2026 · Link‑Lite Data LLC
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use Link Website Pro (the "Service"). It is part of our Terms of Service. Because the Service scans websites, responsible and lawful use is essential. Violating this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination.
1. Authorization statement
Scan only what you own or are authorized to test. By submitting any domain, subdomain, IP, or URL, you represent and warrant that you are the owner of that target or that you have explicit, documented permission from the owner to perform automated analysis of it. You are solely responsible for obtaining and retaining that authorization.
2. Prohibited activities
You may not use the Service to:
- Scan or analyze any website, system, or network you do not own or lack permission to test.
- Conduct denial‑of‑service (DoS/DDoS) attacks or any activity intended to disrupt, degrade, or overload a target.
- Perform unauthorized penetration testing, exploitation, intrusion, or attempts to bypass access controls.
- Submit abusive, excessive, or automated high‑volume requests designed to harass a target or evade rate limits.
- Harvest data for spam, unlawful surveillance, or to build competing datasets in violation of third‑party terms.
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third‑party right (including privacy, computer‑fraud, and anti‑hacking laws).
- Reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the Service except as expressly permitted (see API Terms).
- Interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, or attempt to access other users' data.
3. Read‑only, non‑intrusive scanning
The Service is designed to perform automated, read‑only analysis of publicly accessible information (e.g., HTTP responses, headers, public DNS/WHOIS records, page markup). It is not a penetration‑testing tool and must not be used as one. You must not attempt to use the Service to actively exploit vulnerabilities.
4. Rate limits & fair use
Scanning volume and API usage are subject to plan limits and fair‑use controls. We may throttle, queue, or block activity that threatens the stability of the Service or the targets being scanned. API usage is further governed by our API Terms.
5. Reporting abuse
To report misuse of the Service or a website being scanned without authorization, contact support@linklitepro.com. Security vulnerabilities should be reported under our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, and cooperate with law enforcement as appropriate. We may take action without prior notice where necessary to protect the Service, our users, or third parties.
